Excited to say that we have finally released our first anything. This time it’s a cassette tape of Why Try?’s previously self-released BRO-BQ EP. Please feel free to check out both the band and Polecat Records, and stay tuned for more releases coming your way. Thank you in advance if you like it or choose to support, new music soon!

I haven’t updated this blog in two years, but it will be active again soon…under a different name. Anyone still interested? pop punk punk emo indie shift
If I did acoustic covers of my favorite songs up until the release of our debut EP, would you reblog to promote? Let me know what you think, I’ll post the first one in a little while.
This is a song and video I made for one of my closest friends Johnny, whose father passed away yesterday. If you could keep him and his family in your prayers it would mean a whole lot, hope you enjoy.
Lyrics:
I heard the news today around 5 p.m. searching this town for my best friend, cause I know he’d do the same just to be there and I’ve figured out that that’s all family really is anyway.
And I hope it doesn’t get the best of you, but I completely understand if you could use some time to sort this out, live your life, figure out the things that I could never even try to begin to explain.
I know that things like this can dull the brightest day, but promise me you’ll never let your smile fade. It may seem like we’re not okay, but I promise that it’s just today. The places where we spend our lives most every day get cracked and faded, blindly seem to drift away. So throw the ashes out to see, forever in my memory. And I’m sure if we were in a perfect world, the perfect place, I’m sure he’d be there waiting under golden gates, I know that he’d be proud to say son your heart’s too fucking strong to break.
And I’ll try to be the friend you count on, and trust me I know that it’s not much, but I promise that it’s just today, yeah things get better every day.

Transit have always been fantastic friends to us here at PropertyOfZack, and to kickoff having the band as Artist Of The Week to celebrate their new release, Something Left Behind, Joe B was kind enough to write-up a little something for us. Joe detailed the differences in his life and…
We’ve been hard at work the past couple of weeks, and things are starting to shape up for the release of our first EP! Today we entered the studio to track vocals. Finished three songs and laid down a scratch mix for the other two tracks. To be finished this Saturday then it’s on to mixing! I’ll keep you guys posted and if anyone’s interested, maybe I can post a 30 second clip. What do you think?
Second To Last
Second to Last - Runaway
Pure Noise labelmates The Story So Far seems to dig this band quite a bit, so I figured I’d check them out. With just a few listens I’m already singing the hooks back to my computer screen, and I guarantee you’ll do the same. If you want a quick new favorite, definitely give this a chance.
Goldfinger
Goldfinger - Superman
So i guess i started first listening to pop punk back in 99’ when i was a young kid, i first heard this song while playing the PS1 game Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater (along with other awesome bands) and fell in love with Goldfinger.
I remember always having to pause the game and switch back to this song & on one area of the skate park in a certain level they had a screen showing music videos where I would stop and watch the video for this song (which was really the video for Here In Your Bedroom).Maybe this song is more ska punk than pop punk but if you don’t know this bands music then you should definitely make sure to check them out!
Goldfinger have also been featured in a lot of other video games and also a bunch of movies such as American Pie, The Waterboy & Baseketball to name a few.
I recommend listening to Hang-Ups & Stomping Ground, you will not be disappointed!_
(On a side note, thanks again for all the support so far! you’re all so awesome, over 85 followers so far and im being flooded with messages! All mostly say the same thing so instead of posting them all i just want to say thank you for following and i hope you enjoy what i post!)
Can’t argue with this, especially with a little Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater involved.
